Situated along the Inspiration ski slope and overlooking the Spruce Peak Village, the Mountain Cabin neighborhood is quintessential Vermont living. Consisting of 38 cabins, no two are exactly alike—they offer a variety of views, layouts, and, most importantly, aesthetics. Each owner customizes their cabin to match their unique vision.

For the Boston-based family who purchased this 3,000 square-foot home on Inspiration Lane, a Green Mountain retreat meant an intimate yet upscale ski chalet. “Stowe gives them an escape from city life, and they wanted a modern-rustic décor to reflect this,” says interior designer Marc Langlois, of Marc Langlois Comprehensive Interior Design & Event Services in Boston. “We created an alpine haven that feels like a high-end cabin, rather than a sleek resort.” Walking though their stunning home, that cozy-chic feel is evidenced in everything from the organic tones and textures to the stylish plaid prints and furnishings inspired by the vista right outside the window.

Thanks to that intentional design, this home is the kind of place where people savor the moment—whether telling stories in front of the fire, making family memories around the dining room table, or simply curling up in an armchair with a mug of tea, soaking in the views.
