Similar to our Spruce Peak Hike, the Sterling Pond trails follow our ski trails straight up the side of Spruce Peak. Connecting with the Long Trail, the trek to Sterling follows on the ridgeline to the Vermont highest Alpine pond.

This 6-mile hike will have you ascending the rocky slopes with an elevation gain of roughly 2000ft! And the addition of the serene pond will elevate your hiking experience in the Vermont natural areas. Appreciate the wonderful views of Stowe and unique scenes of the Alpine Pond here at Spruce.

Hike the tallest mountain in Vermont and get amazing views of surrounding mountains and Lake Champlain! This tour offers a mix of a number of different trails and has a wide variety of terrain and plenty of different sights to see. With varying terrain and an elevation gain of 3000ft, you will get the entire Vermont hiking experience. This 7-mile hike will test your limits and leave you feeling invigorated and fulfilled.

Meet at Spruce Peak Outfitters office

Experience the property from a different perspective by exploring the lower to middle portions of the ski slopes here at the resort. This 2 mile tour provides excellent views of the Spruce Peak Village and the surrounding areas. Ice-grips or snowshoes will be provided based on trail conditions.

Rated Low Intermediate/Moderate. No experience necessary. Must be able to walk on uneven ground with consistent ascending and descending terrain. All ages welcome. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
